Went to my critique group and showed them my info re: domestic violence and dating violence, orgs and individuals who have agreed to read excerpts of SHELTER, comments/suggestions so far. No new chapter from me, but this led to a very interesting discussion of learning to blog, tweet, facebook, etc.
My story about a picture a little girl drew when I was at the shelter this week (I volunteer there)led to a critque partner telling me about a city social worker she knows who might be interested in SHELTER.
Never hurts to ask, so I do plan to call her. You never know where a "lead" will lead.
